SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 716,793, dated. December 23, 1902.

To adapt this peculiarity of the cylindrical mirror to an advertising bottle or flask, I combine with the mirror the phrases Before taking and After taking, the former being so situated with reference to the mirror that when it is readable the reflection of the tress.

In the drawings forming a part hereof, Fig ure 1 is a front or face View of the advertising bottle or flask, and Fig. 2 a central crosssection of the same.
Referring now to the drawings, A is a bottle 0r flask having at one side thereof a sunken panel B, whose surface is a segment of a circle with the axial line extending in the direction of the length or height of the flask. Within this sunken panel and secured to its segmental surface is a mirror 0, consisting of a segmental plate of silvered glass. At the four sides of the mirror are the smaller sunken panels D, E, F, and G. In the panels E and D, which are respectively at the top and to the left of the mirror, are secured the plates a and b. The plate 0 contains the phrase Before taking and the one Z) the phrase After taking. The other panels F and G are for the name of the beverage cont-ainedin the flask; but these are left blank in the drawings.
The flask when presented to a person who is invited to partake of its contents is held ina vertical position and the recipient sees his face elongated and reads the words Before taking. to the right, so that the recipient will see his face broadened and will read the words After taking.
I claim as my invention An advertising-flask having at one side thereof, a sunken panel the surface of which is a segment of a cylinder, the axial line of the segment being in the direction of the length of the flask, combined with a cylindrical mirror having an inner surface which corresponds in shape with that of the panel to which it is secured, substantially as, and for the purpose specified.
