-psw TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN Be it known that I, PETER S. HOE, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and improved tool for printers, consisting of Knife, Pincers, and Bodkin combined in a Knife-Handle; and Ido hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, figures, and letters of reference thereon, making part of this specification. Of the said drawings- Figure 1 is a front view, in perspective, of the tool when open.
Figure 2 is a top view.
Figure 3 the same with the parts closed in the handle.

To enable others skilled in the art to make and use my invention, I will describe the construction and operation thereof.
The instruments, consisting of the blade B, pincers C, and bodkin D, are made of the same 'or similar form shown i n the drawings, and are firmly secured in the knife-handle A, so as to be readily opened and closed, thus having each convenient and separate when open, and, when closed, forming a convenient pocket instrument. The pincers arevmade of suiieient width to grasp the type, and are roughened on the ends to prevent them from slipping. i
The advantages of having these tools combined in one instrument will be apparent to the printer; 'and the time saved and annoyance prevented, which are frequently occasioned by the loss or misplacing of the separate tools as now used, will be readily perceived.
Having thus described my invention- I claim the combination, in a single instrument, of a. knife, pincers, and bodkiu, arranged to open and shut.
