My invention relates to an impressed construction ci cabinet for holding graphephones, graphophonenecords, and the like; and my object is to produce a cabinet for this purpose Whose capacity in comparison with the cabinets now in use will be greatly increased and wherein also each record will be held scparatel;7 and independently, thus preventing any possibility oit'` the surfaces thereof becoming; injured. or defaced, the several parts of the cabinet beingso arranged that its interior ie'readily accessible and the desired record seen at a glance and quickly reeched and when not in actual use said cabi- .net may be secured against intermeddlers.

QOdesignates a shelf arranged near the npper extremity of the cabinet, on which the graphophone 2l is held, the-latter communieating, througha flexible tube 22 and 22, with the horn 23, said horn being supported and held in position by means of a folding bracket 24.

The bracket 24 is pivotally secured to a block 25, fastened to the side of the cabinet 1 and consists of. said pivotal member 2G and an arm 47, `which projects therefrom, the same being pivoted to said member 26 and pro vided nearits opposite or free extremity witha fork 28, which engages the outer end of the horn and prevents a displacement thereof.

29 designates a brace-rod which is pivotall'y secured to the member 26, the lowerfree end of Said rod being adapted to enter a socket formed in a block 30, and thus give support to the bracketifllwhen the parts are in operative position. When not in use, the tube 22 is disconnected from the graphophone-tube 22 and the sections of Vthe horn are telescoped one within the other, the top or flanged end 3l having been first removed and placed within the drawer in the bottom ot' the cabinet, after which the brace-rod 29 is removed from its socket, allowing the members 26 and 27 of the bracket 24 to drop and lie against the side of' the cabinet out of the it will be apparent from the foregoing that my invention provides in a very simple and inexpensive manner a'cabinet which is particularly well adapted f or the purposes intended, it being evident that the arrangement of the record-holders is such that a very large number of record-cylinders can be accommodated in a minimum amount of space i roaooe and at the same time the said record-cylinders are held firmly against displacement b v means of the spring-latches S, referred to, which latter also provide a surface whereon the name or names of the pieces may be placed, so as to quickly identify them when required for use.

A cabinet for the purposes described, having an endless belt adapted to-move therein, a plurality of juxtaposed record-holders arranged on said belt, and comprising cylindrical supports having exposed or tree outer ends, said means being mounted at one side of and adjacent to said holders, means for locking records on said holders, and means for moving said belt so as to bring the desired holder into position for removing or replacing a record.
