TO 'ALL PERSONS TO WHOM. THESE PRESENTS MAY COME:
Be it known that I, CHARLns THoLL, of Boston, invented a new and useful or improved Carriage-Sha described in the following specification,

In such drawings, A denotes the front axle of a carriage, having ajournal-box, B, fixed to' it by a yoke, C, and its clamp-screws and nuts, as shown at a b a b. This box, formed as represented, Mhas a cap or cover, D, hinged to it, and held down in place by a lever-catch, E, arranged within the box, and turning on a pin or ful` cram, c. The catch works through a slot, d, in the cover of' the box. F is a forked arm, which is to have a to be projected from the shaft.
