CAKE-BOARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No; 687,949, dated December 3, 1901.
Application filed April 22,1901. Serial No. 56,914. (No model.)
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, PETER A. YORK and ASAPHA.FANOY,CitiZenS of the United States, residing at Berlin, in the county of Coos and State of New Hampshire, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Cake- Boards; and we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others IO skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to cake-boards and it consists in the novel construction and combination of the parts hereinafter fully described and claimed.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a plan view of the cake-board with the main lid closed. Fig. 2 is a plan view of the cake-board, showing the main lid raised and thrown back. Fig. 3
2c is a front view of the cake-board. Fig. 4 is a longitudinal section through the cake-board.
A is the main portion of the cake-board, upon which the mixing and rolling are performed.
2 5 -B represents boxes for spices and other ingredients, arranged at therear part of the board A between its sides a. Each box is provided with an individual lid b, slidable in grooves in its upper part.
G is the main lid, which is hinged to the back upper portion of the cake-board above the boxes B and which shuts down over all the boxes, as shown in Fig. 1. The lid 0 is provided with a front plate 0, which rests on the main portion of the cake-board, and D represents spring-clips which project from the said plate 0.
E is a rolling-pin which is held in position by the said spring-clips whether the main lid is opened or closed. The plate 0 comes in front 46 of the ends of the slidable lids b when the main lid is closed down and prevents the lids b from sliding forward in their grooves,
What we claim is l. The combination, with a cake-board provided with a series of boxes at its rear part, and a series of slidable lids for the said boxes; of a main lid hinged to the upper back portion of the cake-board and provided with a front plate which comes-in front of all the 50 slidable lids when the main lid is shut down upon the said boxes, substantially as set forth.
2. The combination, with a cake-board 'pio- Vided with a series of boxes at its rear part, and a series of lids for the said boxes ,of a main lid hinged to the upper back portion of the cake-board and provided with a front plate which comes in front of the said boxes when the main lid is closed, and spring-clips for supporting a rolling-pin projecting from the said front plate, substantially as set forth.
