The present invention relates to that class of c nrriuges commonly known lzlsopen frame and light buggies, and the invention consists in a novel manner of securing or suspending the body of the buggy toV .the axles bjr and through the means of springs, as will be hereinafter particularly described, reference being had to the accompanying plate of' drawings, in whieh` I I y Figure l is a longitudinal vertical section through the carriage body; and
Figure 2, a transverse vertical see-tion taken in the plane of the line 1' x, g. 1.
A, in thedrawings, represents the fratrie or body to the buggy, and B and- C respectively the front and rear axles on which the body is to rest, extending across from one te the other. "lhis body is supported upon the axles B and. C, by and through vlongitudinal springs E, one 'upon each side. These springs are secured at their centre points to the centre of thc body, and as they extend along under the body for its length they ali'ord e support to it, and enable a much lighter body to be used with all the requisite amount of strength and .st-iliness, as well asaffording an easy, comfortable, and most desirable riding toV the carriage. F', the scat to the body supported at each end upon round springs G, and at the centre point of the body springs E.
