To (all whom, it nung/ concern- Be it known that I, WERNER NEUHs, a citizen of the United States., residing at Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Bakers Ovens, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to bakers ovens; and it consists in the new construction and combinations of parts adapted for the purpose, substantially as hereinafter described, and pointed out in the claim.

In the accompanying,drawings, Figure lis a front elevation of the new bakers oven. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section on line 2 2 on Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a horizontal section on line 3 3 on Fig. 2. Fig. 4t is a horizontal section on line 4 Ll on Fig. 2. Fig. 5 is a cross-section on line 5 5 on Fig. 2. Fig. 6 is a crosssection on line 6 6 on Fig. 2.

A represents a base of brickwork, having a fireplace A at each side and side walls A and a back wall inwvhich is a chimney-flue, with passages leading into it. B is a sheetmetal plate lying over said base and covering both fireplaces. C is another sheet-metal plate supported in the side walls a little distanceabove the said plate B, which forms a chamber or space between said plates. Thisplate C forms the bottom to the oven and has a flooring of tile. D is a third sheet-metal plate supported on I-bars between the side walls A". This forms the top of the oven proper. The front end of the oven is provided with a door F and the back end closed by an end plate. D is a fourth metal plate, also supported on cross I-bars between the side walls A" a little distance above the said third plate D, thus forming a chamber or space E over the oven. On the top of said fourth plate is placed a quantity of sand. In

the masonry at the back of the oven are made verticalflues or passages E', connecting the back ends of the replace-lues with the space over the oven, as shown, through which the heat is conveyed to and over the top of the oven in the direction indicated by the arrows. At cach side of the front opening to the ovenare also provided vertical passages G G, connecting` the space over the oven with the space between the plates l-S and C, through which the heat is further conveyed under the oven, as shown by the arrows. In the back end wall at the end of said space B are made holes 7L h h for conveyingfthe heat into the iiues I I and J .I into the chimney. Thus the heat is carried entirely around the oven and a uniformity of heatis produced.

K is a water-tank arranged beside the oven, having a pipe L fixed in one of the fireplaces for heating water, the top of the tank having pipe connection with the oven, adapted for injecting steam into the oven at such times as may be required.

Having described my invention, I claim- In a bakers oven, a base A of masonry, a fireplace A at each side of said base with side walls A, a sheet-metal plate B over said base and replaces, p a second plate C over said plate B forming a space between'said plates, a third plate D supported y on tcross-bars between the side walls, the chamber between said plates C and D forming the oven proper, a fourth plate D' supported on cross-bars betweenthe side walls and covered with sand, the space between said plates D D forming a space over the oven, a door F to the front of the oven, a back end wall, passages EE in said end wall connecting the fireplaces with the space D, front passages G G connecting space D with the space B and the holes 7L h 7L connecting the space B with the fines I I J J into the chimney, all. constructed to operate as and for the purpose specified.
