IMPROVEMENT IN PORTABLE DRUG-CRUSHERS Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 57,071, dated August 14, 1866.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, H. G. BECKER, of New Yor-k, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented a new and` useful Machine for Crushing and Cutting Drugs, Spices, Src.; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereol",`reference being had to the `accompanying drawing'. l
A is a semi-.oval plate, either of wood or iron, with a rirn of wood, iron, or copper running round about t-Wethnls of the plate, to prevent the drugs from falling oft'. A small round hole is made in the plate, through which the drugs can pass into a receiver if necessary. Attached to this plate, close tothe square end and slightly raised above the at surface of the4 plate, is a crusher and cutter of steel, in one piece, and secured to the plate by two screws, which admits of the crusher and cutter being changed when the platform of the plate be comes worn by constant use of the knife. At the end of the cutter is a handle by which the machine is easily put in operation..
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
Connecting, in a drug Crusher and cutter, the plate, cutter, and crnsher, under the arrangement substantially as set forth.
