The outer end of the shaft 27 is squared and provided with a removable crank-arm 32, secured in place by means of a key, and the crank-disk 31 is provided with two openings 33, which are arranged at diiferent distances from the center of the disk and are provided to permit the connection of the link 34 and pitman-rod 26 with the disk. The link 34 has its rear end formed with a trunnion-like portion 35, which fits into one of the openings 33, while the-pitman-rod 26 is provided at its forward end with an eye 36, whichembraces the trunnionlike portion 35, whereby the pitman-rod 26 is connected to the disk 31. Thus it will be seen that as the shaft 27 is revolved in the operation of the churn thecrank-disk 31 will impart to the pitman rod 26 a movement which will be reciprocal at its rear end to swing the bell-crank 22 on its vertical axis. As the bell-crank 22 rocks the link 20-will be reciprocate-d to impart motion to the yoke'16, and hence to the sides 4 of the bellows. The link 34 has its front end formed with a stud 37, which fits into one of the openings 38 of the crank-arm 39, forming a member of a rock-shaft 40, mounted in bearings in the blocks 41, fixed to the inner surface of the The shaft 40;is arranged transversely and is provided at its inner end with an arm 42, which projects through a slot 43 in the front end of the frame to swing in avertical plane as the rock-shaft is operated. The front end of the arm 42 is formed with a stud 44, extending transversely intoan opening in the dasher-rod 45, which reciprocates through an opening 46 in the top 47 of the churn tub or receptacle 48.
The rod 45 carries the dasher 49, which is circular in form and is provided with a series of perforations surrounding a central opening 50, through which extends the air-introducing tube 51, the dasher being guided by said tube. The air-introd ucing tube extends vertically through an opening 52 in the top 47 of the receptacle and terminates at its lower end adjacent to the bottom of the receptacle.
The nozzle 11 of the bellows is extended longitudinally and thence downwardly, and is fitted in, the upper end of the tube 51, so that a blast from the bellows will be introduced into the tube.

Having described our invention, what we claim is- In a churning apparatus, :the combination with a supporting-frame, of a bellows having movable and fixed walls, a bell-crank lever, a yoke terminally attached to the movable walls of the bellows and connected with one arm of the bell-crank lever, a rotary drivingshaft-provided at one end witha disk having a plurality of perforations arranged at different distances from the center of rotation, a rock-shaft having-one of its arms connected to a dasher-rod, a pitman connected to a crank-arm on said rock-shaft and provided with a lateral trunnion 35 fitted in one of the perforations in said disk, and a second pitman connected at one end to the second arm of the bell-crank leverand provided at the-other end with an eye'fitting loosely upon said lat- IIO
