A pair of handles 40, provided with suitable standards 41, extend rearwardly from the U-shaped portion 2 and serve as means for moving the steam-cooker from one point to another.

The operation is as follows: The Water-reservoir 12 being filled with Water through the funnel and pipe 13, a portion of the water within said reservoir will pass through the pipe 16 into the steam-generating receptacle 10 within the boiler 1 The steam-generating receptacle 10 being in approximately the same plane as is the Water-reservoir 12, the water Within said steam-generating receptacle 10 will rise to a point as high as is the Water Within the water-reservoir 12. As the Water within the steam-generating receptacle becomes heated bythe fire Within the fire-box of the boiler 1, steam will be generated within said receptacle 10, and, as it increases in volume, will open the automatic valve 24. If it is desired to cook the food placed in the receptacles 30, the valve 2G must be closed and the Valve 35 opened. The steam thus generated will pass through the automatic cutoff valve 24, through the pipes 34 and 37, through the flexible pipe 3S, into the distributing-pipe 31. From here it is discharged through the nozzles 32, that are located within the receptacles 30, thus steaming and cooking the food, as desired.

Should it be desired to cook or steam a quantity of food in a single receptacle, such as 42, the lower end of the hose or flexible tube 29 is positioned within said receptacle 42, the valve 28 in the pipe 27 opened, the valve 26 in the pipe 25 opened, the valve 35 in the pipe 34 closed, and the valve 22 in the pipe 19 closed. This being done, the steam will pass through the automatic cutoff valye 24, through the pipe 25 into the steam-reservoir 18, from thence through the pipe 27 and iiexible pipe 29 into the receptacle 42, in which the food to be cooked or steamed is deposited.

If it is desired to cook food placed in the receptacles 30 and also food in the receptacle 42, the valves 35, 26, and 28 are opened and the valve 22 closed. Thus steam will be passed through. the various pipes and connections into the receptacles 30 and the receptacle 42. By the manipulation of the cut-off valves 33 in the nozzles 32 steam can be passed through any one or all of said nozzles 32. If desired, the upper end of the flexible tube 3S can be disconnected from the eiid of the pipe 37` and the upper end of the ilexible tube or hose 29 positioned upon the end of said pipe 37. By nowY closing the valve 2G the steam will be passed through the pipe 34, pipe 37,

' and fiexible tube or hose 29 into the receptacle 42.

Vhen the valves 35 and 28 are closed, any steam that maybe generated or in the steamreservoir 18 will pass through the pipe 19, the valve 22 having previously been opened, through the pipe 21 and into the water-reservoir 12, there to condense. Should at any time it be found advisable to wash out or cleanse the steam-generating receptacle and various connections, the valve 2G and the faucet 15 are opened. A supply of water now being introduced through the pipe 27 into the steam-reservoir 18 will pass from said reservoir through the pipe 25, through the automatic cut-off valve 24, previously opened, through the pipe 23 and steam-generating receptacle 10, through the pipe 17 into the water-reservoir 12 and out through the faucet 15, thereby thoroughly cleansing said receptacles and connections.

The annular flange 11 on the steam-generating receptacle 10 tends to retain the heat and flame emanating from the lire in the nrebox of the boiler 1 and more thoroughlyheat the Water within said steam-generating receptacle 10.

By grasping the handles 40 and raising the standards 41 free from the ground the entire cooker can be easily and quickly moved from one point to another.

Thus will be seen how I have constructed a steam-cooker that is simple and inexpensive in construction, easily operated, and capable of being moved from one point to another to facilitate the cooking of the various kinds of food.

The combination, with a steam-generator and its supports, of a main steam-discharge pipe 23, the automatic valve 24 connected to said pipe, a smaller steam-discharge pipe 25 connected directly to said valve, a valve 2G applied to said smaller pipe, connections with the latter for conducting steam therefrom to a cooking utensil as 42, an additional steamdischarge pipe 34 also connected directly to the said automatic valve, a valve 35 applied to the pipe last mentioned, and connections for conveying steam from said last-mentioned pipe to an additional cooking utensil or a series of utensils, substantially as and for the purposes specified.
