WAGON END-GATE;

SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 536,161, dated March 19, 1895.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, HERMAN STEECK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Winona, in the county of Winona and State of Minnesota, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in End-Gates; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilledin the art to which it appertains consists in certain features'of construction and combination of parts which will be hereinafter fully described and claimed.

- In the accompanying drawings of which like letters of reference denote corresponding parts,Figure 1, is a perspective view of a portion of a wagon body showing my invention applied. Fig. 2, is a detall view of the guide plate, and Fig. 3, is a similar View of the locking latch.

In operation, when it is desired to remove the gate from the wagon the free ends of the levers d (it being understood that my invention is applied to the opposite sides of the body) are depressed thereby withdrawing the lug d from the holes d of the flange and allowing the gate to be lifted from the guide plate.
