SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 534,504, dated February 19, 1895.
Application filed July 5, 1894- To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALLEN J. GIBSON, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Waco, McLennan county, Texas, have invented a Clip for Type-Writers, of which the following is a specification.
My invention consists of a clip or holder adapted to be attached to a Remington typewriter or a machine similarly constructed, to hold postal-cards, envelopes or other short sheets firmly against the roller and thus prevent the blurring or bad impression which is apt to be made, more particularly in machines having type bars with two types each, when the paper is not held firmly to the roller or platen.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure l is a perspective View of the under side of the carriage of a Remington typewriter, showing a 'clip, made according to my invention, attached to the scale-rodon the carriage. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the clip detached from the machine. Fig. 3 is a sectional view of the scale-rod with the clip in position thereon.
