UNITED STATES KENDALL GIBBS, OF BEBWIGK, MAINE.
PATENT OFFICE.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, KENDALL GIBBS, of Berwick, in the county ot'York and State of Maine, have invented an Improvement in Neck Rope Halters; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, and. to the letters .and figures marked thereon.
Figure I is a view of the neck rope halter. Fig. II is the top view of the button. Fig. III is the side view of the button. Fig. IV is a section of the button.
The superiority of my improvement in neck rope halters is its safety, durability, and strength also, in its convenient application to the horses neck, either by day or night, in the stable or in the harness, which is shown by the following description.
This rope is about half an inch in diameter and of suitable length for fastening horses.
One end of the rope is formed with a loop, A, Fig. I, for receiving the button B. This button contains an oblong concave space, 0, within which is made two holes, Fig. II, for passing the rope through, so as to prevent the button from slipping on the rope. This button may be easily moved on the rope, at any desired distance from the loop A, by pressing the rope up- Ward, Fig. III, out of the cavity and. drawing down either side of the rope, so as to fit any horses neck.
What I claim, and desire'to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The neck rope halter with the loop and adjustable concave button, substantially as herein described.
KENDALL GIBBS.
