CHURN-DASHER.

To a/ZZ whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JOSEPH H. FULTON, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at West Lebanon, in the county of Indiana and State of Pennsylvania, hav'e invented certain new and useful Improvements in Oh urn-Dashers; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of theinvention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specication. Y

This invention relates to improvements in churn-dashers; and it consists in providing the upper end of the dasher-stad with a sleeve which is mounted thereon so that said dasherstaff can rotate or be rigidly connected thereto, for the purpose to be hereinafter set forth, to the lower end of the dasher-staff being attached the blades and a conical sleeve or ferrule.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

l. In combination with a dasher-staff A having a reduced upper endto provide bearing surfaces b and band a dasher rigidly secured thereto, of a sleeve carried by the upper end of the staff, and means substantially as shown for rigidly connecting the sleeve and staff.

2. In combination with a dasher-staff and dasher, the upper end of the dasher-stad having a thumb-screw and washer, a sleeve O mounted on the upper part of the dasherstaff, and held thereon by the thumb-screw and washer, the dasher staff havinga reduced portion B to provide bearing surfaces b and b', substantially as shown, and for the purpose set forth.
