Definitions
- a trolley wheel such as that represented at w, Fig. 4, moving along Vunder the member A in the direction of the arrow, Fig. 1, will receive current after it passes from said member through the rim of the Wheel which engages with a conducting strip b2 Which conducting strip acts as a continuation of the section otherwise ending with the member A.
- the trolley wheel passes from one strip b2it contacts with the other strip b2 and hence is receiving current from the next section, and this without causing undue sparking and in such a manner as to remove the liability of stopping at a dead point where no current could be taken.

Description
the same time afford a means of attachment for the span wires which are secured to the eyes d2.
As will be apparent, the operation of the device is as follows: A trolley wheel such as that represented at w, Fig. 4, moving along Vunder the member A in the direction of the arrow, Fig. 1, will receive current after it passes from said member through the rim of the Wheel which engages with a conducting strip b2 Which conducting strip acts as a continuation of the section otherwise ending with the member A. At the moment the trolley wheel passes from one strip b2it contacts with the other strip b2 and hence is receiving current from the next section, and this without causing undue sparking and in such a manner as to remove the liability of stopping at a dead point where no current could be taken.
l. The combination in a section insulator of conducting members, an insulating member separating said conducting members and a conductorfrom each conducting member extending along a surface of said insulating member, substantially as set forth.
2. The combination in a section insulator of conducting members, an insulating member Separating said conducting members and a conductor from each conductingmember extending in parallel lines along the lower face of said insulating member but not overl-apping, substantially as set forth.
3. The combination in a section insulator of conducting members, an insulating member separatingsaid conducting members providedwith grooves or channels, and a conductor from each conducting member located in said channels, substantially as set forth.
4. The combination in a section insulator of conducting members provided with means of attachment for the trolley Wires, of an insulating member separating said conducting members and a conductor from each conducting member extending along a surface of said insulating member, substantially as set forth.
5. The combination in a section insulator of conducting members provided with means of attachment for the trolley wires and feed wires, of an insulating member separating said conducting members and a conductor from each conducting member extending along a surface of said insulating member, substantially as set forth.
6. The combination in a section insulator of conducting members provided with means of attachment for the trolley and feed wires, of an insulating member provided with means for the attachment of the span wires, said insulating member separating said conducting members and a conductor from each conduct'- ing member extending along a surfaceof said insulating member, substantially as set forth.
7. The combination in a section insulator of a strengthening strap secured thereto bya bolt, said bolt being provided at each end with a nut having an eye for the attachment of the span wires, substantially as set forth.
8. The combination in a section insulator of an insulating member B, provided with two conducting strips and conducting members for attachment of the trolley wires, and means of attaching said strips respectively to said conducting members, substantially as set forth.
