TWINE-STAND.
Specification of Letters Patent No. 5,038, dated March 27, 1847.
To all whom, t may concern:
Be it known that I, NOAH C. BYRAM, of Boston, in the county of Suffolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented a certain new and useful ImprovementV in Bobbin- Stands, Such as are in Use in Stores, Counting-Rooms, and Various other Places; and I do hereby declare that the same is` fully described and represented in the following specification and accompanying drawings, letters, figures. and references thereof.
0f said drawings, Figure 1 denotes an external or side elevation of one of my improved bobbin stands, having a bobbin filled with twine applied to it. Fig. 2 is a vertical central and transverse section of it.
Said stand is compo-sed of a base A made of metal or other proper material and a round rod or axis B inserted and fixed in the central part of saidbase and being made with a shoulder (a) formed upon its upper end. and a screw above said shoulder as seen in F 2. The above with certain exceptions hereinafter to be described may be said to constitute the bobbin stand in common use.v
The twine on the bobbin is unreeled by simply pulling upon lit so as to cause the bobbin to rotate upon its rod B.
