Be it known that 1, WILLIAM GRABLER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Mansfield, in the county of Richland and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Sliding-Door Hangers; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.

My invention relates to improvements in sliding-door hangers and the objects of my invention are: to provide a means for hanging sliding-doors which is simple in construction, easily attached and adjusted, pheap, durable and effective in operation.

In the accompanying drawings Figure l is a front elevation of a sliding-door with my improved hanger attached. Fig. 2 is an edge view of the same. Fig. 3 is a top view enlarged showing the method of attaching the hangers. Fig. 4 is an end view of the same enlarged showing more fully the construction of my improved hangers.

In the accompanying drawings A represents asliding-door which is hung by my improved hanger which I will now fully describe.

3 indicates a vertical bar which is pivoted to the casting forming an angle plate which is secured to the inner edge of the door, near the top. The lower end of said bar is pro vided with a pin, D, which slides vertically in the guide plate, E, secured to the studding, F, forming the partition, G.

H, indicates a toggle connection which is pivoted at the lower end, I, to the center of the vertical bar, 13. The upper end is pivoted upon an angle plate, K, secured to the studding, F. This construction constitutes the toggle hinge or hanger which supports the back edge of the door A.

A separate and distinct attachment I use for supporting the front edge of the door which is composed of a single track, L, suspended over the center of the edge of the door by the hanger, M. A frame, N, is socured upon the upper edge of the door, A. This frame is composed of the standards, 0 and I. Secured to the said standards are the horizontal bars, R and S. The front bar, R, is astraight piece. The bar, S, is curved at each end a sufficient distance to form a parallel opening between the said bars. Uindicates an anti-friction roller, grooved upon the edge and provided with a journal extending upon each side. This roller is placed upon the track L, the bars, R and S, composing the frame, N, resting upon the journals. This construction is fully illustrated by the drawings, more fullyin Figs. 3 and 4..

It will be readily seen that when the doors are opened the roller, U, rotates upon the track, L, and the levers,l3 and H, pass each other allowing the door to pass into the re cess formed by the partition.

Having fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. In a door hanger, the combination with the door slidingly mounted in its guides and the track arranged above the same, of the standards 0 P secured at their lower ends to the upper edge of the door and extending up alongside said track, the horizontal bars R and S secured at their ends to the upper ends of said standards,one of said bars being bent outward at its central portion beyond the plane of the track, and a roller journaled between said horizontal bars, substantially as set forth.

2. The combination with a door slidingly mounted in its guides, of an angle plate secured to the edge of said door with one arm extending in the plane thereof, a slotted guide plate secured to the studding in the plane of the projecting arm of the angle plate, the lever B, pivoted at its upper end to the projecting arm of the angle plate and having at its lower end a pin engaging the slot in the guide plate, and the toggle pivoted at its upper end to the studding and at its lower end to the central portion of said lever B, as set forth.
