APPARATUS FOR CLEANING FORKS. I
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 485,048, dated October 25, 1892. Application filed February 29, 1892. Serial No. 423,163. (No model.)
tion, and which is designed for cleaning the prongs from impurities which adhere to them by means of polishing powder or sand, is shown in the annexed drawing, which represents a perspective View of my invention.
My improved device comprises a U-shaped frame, of spring metal, with grooves 01 01 formed in the inner side of each side arm a,and these grooves form rests or supports for parallel cross-plates b b, which carry the cleaningbrushes 0. By springing apart the arms a the plates 12 b and the brushes carried thereby can be instantly removed.
The forks to be cleaned are drawn and pushed through the brushes.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
In combination with the spring-frame having arms a a, provided with grooves 01 d, and the brush-frame b b a, supported by said arms, substantially as described.
