Be it known tha1: we, WALTER H. FITZ GER- ALD am]. AUGUST BEUOKE, citizens 0f the United States, and residen ts of Newark, in the county of Essex, and in the State of New Jersey, have invented certain new and usefu1 Improvements in VVatch-Cases; and we hereby declare that 1:he following is a full, dem, and exact description thereof, referen ee being had to the aecompanying drawings, in whieh Figure 1 is a perspective view of the parts of our waceh-case separated from each other. Fig. 2 is a 1ike view 0f the case-back and movement-holding ring when combined, said ring being opened outward. Fig. 3 is a perspeetive view of said parts when closed together and conaining a watch-movement. Fig. 4 is a perspective view of ehe case complete, and Figs. 5 and 6 a1e respeetively crosssections upon the axial line of the pendant 0f Figs. 3 and 4..

Our invention has forits objeet an increase in the efficiency of screw-bezel watch-cases; and it consists in the construetion and eombination of the parts composing the case, substantially as and f01 the purpose hereinafter specified.

In the ca1rying 0f 0m invention into practice we construct; the case-back A and beze1 B separately and provide upon the edge aof 1Jhe former,flush With itsinner periphery, an annular flangre a, Whi0h is threaded peripherally, and within theinterior 0f the edge 0f the bezel provide a corresponding screwthread b, whereby said bezel may be fitted over and oaused tO embrace said threaded flange. The parts thns combined have the form of and constitute the body of the case and am united up0n a 1ine which is slightly in front of the center of such case fro1n fronr, to rear.

The watchmovexnent D is secured in place within the 1i11g C in the usua1 manner, and is as readily zwcessible for the purpose of inspeetion 01' regulation as it would be if placed within any 0f the othe1 forms of eases nsua1ly employed, in addition to Whi0h the case pos sesses in a marked degree the advantages 0f strength, durability, and freedom fr0m openings throngh which dust may penetrate to its inte1ior.

Having 13h us deseribed 0u1 invention, what we claim is 1. In eombination with a screw-bezel watohcase, a movement-holding ring whieh has attached t0 one side the pendant of the case, substantially as and f0r the purpose specified.

2. In combination With a screw-bezel watchcase, a movement-holding ring whieh at one side has attached thereto a pendant and ab its opposie side is hinged to 01 upon the body of the case, substantially as and for the purpose shown.

3. A wach-case in which a1e combined a body and a beze1 that are united by means of a threaded portion of each part, a movementholding ring which is hinged to 01 upon such case-body, anc1 a pendant that is secured at itsinner end t0 the movement-holding ring, and fr0m (1161106 projects radially through an opening whieh is formed in the edge 0f said caSe-body, substantially as and f01 the purpose set forth.
