Beit known that we, WALTER BETTS, a citizen of the United States, and WILLIAM B. HERBERT, a4 subject of the Queen of Great Britain, both residing at Galvestomin the county of Galveston and State ot' Texas, have invented a new and usefulBlott'er, of which the following is a specification.

The invention relates to improvements in blotters. Y l

rlhe object of the present invention is to providea combined hand-blotter,ruler, paper-cutter, and pen-rack, which device is designed more especially for the use of bookkeepers and accountants, and is to be carried in the left hand, and is adapted to serve as an arm-rest, andis capable of holding pens in convenient position. g

The invention consists in the construction and novel combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings, and pointed out in the claims hereto appended.

In the drawings, Figure l is a perspective View of a blotter constructed in accordance with this invention and shown applied to a hand. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view.

Referring to the accompanying drawings, l designates a blotter-frame constructed of suitable material, preferably sheet metal, and
