To all whom/it may concern;

Be it known that I, GEORGE E. PILKINGTON, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Britain, in the county of Hartford and State ment by a spring, as hereinafter more fully setforth.

Having thus described my invention, I claim- 1. In a buckle, eoinbinatiml, with the buckle-plate having means for the attachment thereof to the suspender-web and havi ng the edges thereof bent l'orwardly and then inwardly to form the narrow guideslland U, of

In a buckle, the combination, with the buckle-plate having the slide'guides and the cast-off slide having at the upper end'thereol" hooks engaging the upper ends of said guides and having a concavity, substantially as deseribed, on the rearward side thereol', of the spring on the buckle-plate and acting upon the slide to hold said hooks in engagement with said guides, said spring also engagingthe said concavity, substantially as described.
