MOUTH-PIECE FOR CIGARS OR PIPES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 461,267, dated October 13, 189] Application led May 31, 1890. Serial No. A353,870. (No model.) l
often producing a disagreeable sensation of heat, which it is the object of my invention to prevent; and to this end my invention consists in a foraminous concavo-convex disk attached to the end of the stem or mouth-piece, s0 as to form a smoke-distributing chamber, as hereinafter fully set forth.
Figure 1 represents a side view and a par-- tial section of a mouth-piece provided with my improved smoke-distributing disk. Fig. 2 represents an end View of the same.
In the accompanying drawings,A represents a smokers mouth-piece, and B a concavo-convex foraminous disk, which may be made of perforated sheet metal, Wire-cloth,
or other suitable material. The disk B may be attached to the end of the stem a by means ot` a'separate ring-formed piece C, which fits the end of the stem a and is turned over the edge of the disk B, as shown in Fig. '1, thus forming, with the end of the stem a, a smokedistributing chamber c, by meansot which the smoke will be distributed tothe several pernular attaching-piece Which fits the end of the said stem ory mouth-piece and covers the edge of the disk, substantially as described.
