FAUCET-TOOL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 460,956, dated October 13, 1891.
Application filed June 25, 1391. Serial No. 397,470. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern.-

Ihe object of my invention is a tool for repairing the valve-seats of faucets.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure lis a representation of a faucet in sectional view, showing the tool in position ready for use. Fig. 2 is an end view of the cutting edge or part of the tool. Fig. 8 isa sectional view of the part C, as seen in Fig. 2, and Fig. 4 is the stein of the tool.
A represents the faucet.
B is the stem of the tool. b is the handle of the same.
C is the plane or cutting part of the tool. It is separate from the stem part, or is detachable therefrom, and when on it is held from turning on the stem-Studs b b in connection with the cut-outs c c.
ce a is the valve-seat If this valve-seat becomes worn, as is often the case, so that it is difficult to turn off the water, the fault can be remedied by using this tool, as seen in Fig. l. By a few turns of the tool in' the valve-seat the cutting-edge c c" of the tool will repair the uneven surface of the valve-seat and make it practically as good as new.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
In a tool for repairing the Valve-seats of faucets,the plane O, having the cutting-edge c', combined with the stem B, having the studs b and handle b, substantially as described and shown.
