TOILET-BRUSH.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 448,067 dated March 10, 1891.
Application filed November 11, 1889- fierial No. 329,917. (No model.)
To on whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOSEPH O. NIGHTINGALE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Paterson, Passaic count-y, State of New Jersey, have invented a new and useful Improvement in ToiletBrushes, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the ac companying drawings, forminga part thereof.
The object of myinvention is to provide an improved toilet-brush; and it consists of devices illustrated in the accompanying drawings, which will be hereinafter fully described and claimed.
Figure 1 of the drawings shows the brush in elevation, in which figure the parts are open. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section of the same, taken on line was of Fig. 1, the parts being closed in such figure.
A represents a toilet-brush of novel construction, which brush is composed of sepa rable parts B and O, the former of which is provided on the back of the same with a mirror D and the latter with a brush, the said parts being hinged together by a hinge B and a removable pin B and having aclasp (J tolock or clasp the parts together. The parts 13 and C of the brush A may be detached,and the mirror D, which is arranged in grooves formed on the outside or back of the brush therefor, as shown, used independently, when desired, by removing the pin 13 from hinge B in the usual way, while the brush may undergo changes of shape at pleasure.
I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, in a toilet-brush A toilet-brush having two separable halves detachable, hinged together, one half being provided with a brush and handle and the other half being provided with a mirror and handle, substantially as shown and described. 40
