IMPROVEMENT IN PLOWS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 39,761, dated September 1, 1 863 antedated October 24, 1862.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, NATHANIEL S. TALL- MADGE, of Fond du Lac, in the county of Fond du Lac and State of Wisconsin, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Combined Crossing and Subsoil Flows; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings and the letters and figures marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
In the aforesaid drawings, Figure 1 is a side elevation of myimproved plow. Fig. 2 is a plan or top view of the same; and Fig. 3 is a side elevation of the front or crossing plow, showing the landside thereof, which is cut off in Fig. 1 at the line of section of section (I b in Fig. 2.
Similar letters in the different figures represent corresponding parts of my invention.
The nature of my invention consists mainly in combining in one implement a crossing and a subsoil plow, and in constructing the same in a simple and durable manner.
In the accompanying drawings, A represents the beam; B, the handles; 0, a standard supporting the handles, which, by means of the holes h h in C, may be raised or lowered at pleasure.
