UNTTED STATES PATENT @Trueno v\VILLiAi\IA D. MlLLERJ, OF FLORENCE, MASSACHUSETTS.
DiSHeWASHER.
SPECIFICATIONforming part of Letters Patent No. 388,990, dated September 4, 1888. Application filed March 23, 1888. Serial No. 265.5228. (No model.)
To all 11.71.0111, it may concern:
Beit l; nown that LWILLLTM Dann MILLER, of Florence, in the county of Hampshire and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and Improved Dish-.Vnsher, of which the following is a i'ull, clear, and exact description.
My invention consists of a metallic dish washer or cloth comprising a bundle of c0nnected links or rings of wire attached to a suitable rigid handle, wherehy the washer may he conveniently and effectively' used Without the necessity of putting the hands in the Water.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, in which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both the figures.
Figure l is a perspective view of my new dish-Washer, and Fig. 2 shows one of the short chains of which the dishwasher is composed.
rIhe handle A is by preference made of wire, and to the arms c a. thereof is secured the ring B. To this ring is attached a bundle of wire rings, C, by which the washing is effected.
These rings are preferably linked together to form numerous short chains, G', as shown in Fig. 2, the end links of which are placed upon the ring B, so that each short Chain forms a festoon of links. By constructing the washer in this manner the sanieis cheap, durable, and effective in use, and may be used without pntting the hands in the hot water, and being of metal boiling Water may be used in Washing.
Having thus described my invention, what l claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The handle A, having arms a attached to a ring, B, in combination with short iron chains C', attached to the ring, substantially as described.
VILLAM D. MILLER.
