IMPROVEMENT IN WATER-ELEVATORS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 38.8.50., dated June 9, 1563.
Y To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, WILLIAM B. WADs WORTH, of Cleveland, in Cuyahoga county and State ot' Ohio, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Water-Elevators for Raising Water from Wells, Cisterns, 85e.; and l do hereby declare that the following is a full and rlexr description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the etters of reference marked thereon, in which- Figure 1 is a view ofthe machine in operation; Fig. 2, a section of chain; Fig. 3, a sec tion of the wheel.
In constructing I make a curb, A. The upper part7 B, is drawn in at the top and supported by braces or 'battens C, which are fastened to the body of the curb at C', and E is a strong cross-bar running across tne top, and the Wheel W and chain U are substantially the same as those patented to William B. Wads- Worth, January 27,1863,and F is the bucket; G, counter-balance. H is a spout from the bucket F to the deliveryspout J. g is a valve in bottom of bucket F. What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is
AThe combination ot' the chain and Wheel, substantially as described, with the bucket F, rod I, valve g, and spout H, substantially as described.
