Definitions

  • mm rt PA ing the hair, constituted of a central cylindrical support on which are mounted tufts of bristle, the whole having the form of a round brush.
  • rollers are constituted of a cylindrical support which may or may not have uneven parts enabling a lock of hair to be held on the support; these supports take a fairly long time to be put in, and the person must then remain under the drier for a long time, which is a tedious servitude and a source of annoyance for her.
  • the invention aims at producing accessories for setting and treating the hair, of the roller type, which enable the hair to be put in rollers more quickly and also give improved results with respect to hitherto known devices.
  • the invention relates to a curler of the roller type for setting and treating the hair, characterised in that it is constituted of a centralcylindrical support on which are mounted tufts of bristle, the whole therefore having the form of a round brush.
  • the roller is preferably fixed as mentioned above and provided with tufts of bristle, each tuftcomprising bristles disposed at a fairly obtuse angle so that the furthermost bristles of each tuft join, the whole thus forming a mass of radiating bristles whose periphery is substantially circular.
  • the central cylindrical support is associated with a removable handle enabling the roller to be used as such for setting, and as a brush for treatment of the hair after drying.
  • a roller is therefore produced which is simple to put in; in fact, the locks of hair penetrate between the bristles and are therefore easily immobilised in their position.
  • roller according to the invention by ensuring a certain separation of the hair due to the bristles which pass through each lock, allows an aeration and consequently a much more rapid drying of the hair;
  • the single FIGURE shows a perspective view of a roller according to the invention.
  • the roller is composed of a central cylindrical support 1 in which are fixed tufts of bristles 2, 2, 3, 3'; the tufts of bristles are disposed radially and over the periphery of the central support so as to constitute a brush of the round type without handle.
  • the tufts of bristle are preferably disposed in slightly divergent manner so that the bristles belonging to two adjacent tufts join, the whole thus forming a general cylindrical mass in which the ends of the bristles form the periphery of the mass, this preventing the tufts of bristles which have lost their individuality from being clearly seen; a brush is therefore obtained whose bristles are distributed in fairly regular density over all the periphery; the hair may therefore be placed very regularly on the roller and is separated, thus permitting a rapid aeration during the drying process.
  • a hair roller comprising a brush structure consisting of a central elongated support and a plurality of tufts of bristles radially extending from said central support, said tufts being mounted on said central support in a regular distribution and said bristles extending freely from said central support to a length at least corresponding to the diameter of the central support so that the brush structure has an outer periphery only of said bristles for enabling said bristles to freely penetrate hair to separate strands of the hair in a'spread-out manner from the surface of the central support to the outer periphery of the brush structure.
  • a hair roller according to claim 1 wherein the bristles of each tuft of said plurality are disposed angularly with respect to one another to form a mass of radiating bristles having ends defining the outer periphery of said brush structure.
  • a hair roller according to claim 1 wherein a handle is removably attached to said central support such that the roller forms a brush for treating hair.
