PAIENIEU JUL 2 4 I978 FISHERMAN'S roucu FIELD OF THE INVENTION My invention is directed toward a fishermans pouch which can be worn on a belt or in a shirt pocket when not in use and which can carry a large plurality of different items used by fisherman.
SUMMARY I provide a rear flap with oppositely disposed side flaps and a front flap joined to an edge of the rear flap. Manually operable means detachably secure the front and rear flaps together. Other manually operable means detachably secure the side flaps together.
With the side flaps so secured, the pouch can be carried in a shirt pocket. With the side flaps secured and the front and rear flaps also secured, the pouch can be carried on a belt.
Typically, one side flap can carry a transparent pocket with a fishing license therein and a cork sheet to which the books of flies can be detachably secured. The other side flap can have a first pocket with a nail clip therein and a second pocket with a fish hook remover therein.
The rear flap can have a pocket adapted to carry BB shot as well as hooks to which leaders can be secured.
Hooks carried by the leaders can be detachably secured to a magnet bar also secured to the rear flap. Other items can be carried on any flap as desired.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS In the drawings FIG. 1 is a plan of my invention in open position;
FIG. 2 is a front elevation of my invention as carried on a belt.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS 2 22 secured to the flap and adapted to detachably hold hooks 24 of flies 26.
While I have described my invention with particular reference to the drawings, such is not to be considered as limiting its actual scope.
Having thus described this invention, what is asserted as new is:
l. A fishermans pouch comprising:
a rear flap with oppositely disposed side flaps and a front flap joined to an edge of the rear flap; fasteners for detachably securing said rear and front flaps together;
other fasteners for detachably securing said side flaps together;
one sideflap having a pocket with a transparent front for holding a fishing license and and a sheet of cork secured thereto to hold fly hooks;
the other side flap having a pocket to hold a nail clip and another pocket to hold a fish hook remover; said rear flap carrying a bar magnet to hold, fish hooks; and hooks on said rear flap to receive the leaders from the fish hooks held by said bar magnet.
