HIGH-CONTRAST PHOTOGRAPHIC ELEMENTS COMPRISING A SUPPORT COATED WITH A SILVER HALIDE EMULSION WHEREIN THE HALIDE COMPRISES AT LEAST ABOUT 85 MOLE PRECENT CHORIDE AND HAVING A HEAVY OVERCOAT OF A WATER-PERMEABLE COLLOID. METHODS FOR PROCESSING THESE ELEMENTS IN A CONTINUOUS TRANSPORT PROCESSING MACHINE WHEREIN THE DEVELOPER CONTAINS A CARBONYL BISULFITE-AMINE CONDENSATION PRODUCT ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
