Cl. 128-2 5 Claims ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A female urine sampling device features a receptacle with an opening in the lower part of the front wall and cap for closing the opening. The cap may have a side aperture therein whereby urine may be removed from the receptacle by turning the cap until the aperture is directed downwardly. A disposable bag may be placed inside the receptacle for sanitary purposes.

This invention relates to one or different sanitary devices for women, who need doctors (general practice), urologists, gynecologists or hospital care, for care at their own home taking urine tests, or for their own health and needs.

The invention contemplates a form molded in plastic, thermoplastic or thermosetting, with screwthread or other type closure to fit a cap, open or closed, a hose end etc. and tightly fitting the users body. No sharp edges will be allowed and, in more expensive forms, there will be a soft molded U-shaped boarder glued or fastened to the original plastic form. Further may be used an inside bag, supplied at cheap prices in small boxes. These throwaway bags can have several shapes and forms and be made from different material as paper, impregnated paper, rubber, plastic etc. Also it is possible that the whole form he made out of thin rubber, thin shoft plastic, paper etc. and be folded and arranged in quantities in small boxes so, that they can be carried in pocketbooks, using practically no space and having a very little weight. After usage they can be thrown away in dispensers or wastebaskets. A stand to be placed in for doctors, hospitals etc., is thought of.

Novel features of design, form, closures, hose ends, caps, bags etc. will be more clearly understood during the course of the following description reference being had to the accompanying drawings, wherein has been illustrated the preferred forms of the sanitary device. The sizes and form, material, closure and exchangeable hose ends etc. may vary with the public need.

In the drawings:

FIGURE 1 is a plan view or top view of the sanitary device having rounded edges.

FIGURE 4 is a side view of the sanitary device, showing the rounded edges again and also 2 parallel running rounded edges or steps. The threaded fitting end is shown with hole, a so called open end fitting.

FIGURE 2 is a closed cap and FIGURE 3 is an open cap with an opening at the bottom as preferred or an opening in the center. By molding the threads, there will be always the same position of the hole after locking the cap and well directing to the bottom.

FIGURE 5 shows the tube as preferred above the cap and well with or without the openings. The openings are the same as is the locking in the same position as shown in FIGURE 3.

FIGURE 6 shows a thin plastic or rubber bag with a tube formed thereon and FIGURE 7 shows a detail of the same bag.

FIGURE 8 is a thin, foldopen sanitary device shown in molded or formed position. This form is used for packaging them in small boxes, for easy selling and car- 3,485,233 Patented Dec. 23, 1969 "ice rying purposes. FIGURE 9 shows the open fold and ready for usage in top view. FIGURE 10 is a side view of the open fold sanitary device and FIGURE 11 shows the device in use.

Referring specifically to the drawings, there has been illustrated in FIGURES 1 and 4 the sanitary device after

1, 2 with the threaded fitting end 3, opening 4 and rounded steps 5. The fitting end can have different types of thread, preferred a l-pitch thread. The steps 5 help the device stand effectively and will hold to a certain type stand, not shown here. In FIGURES 2 and 3 there is shown the closed cap 6 with thread 7 and nonslip edges 8. The hole 9 in the center could be used with bag 10 FIGURE 7, while opening 11 is more preferred. The

1 and 2 is very solid and molded with the utmost care and the most modern equipment. Plastic or whatever material may be selected will be the most hygienic and sanitary approved. FIGURE 5 shows the molded hose end 13, form and length are varying with the need of the users, a certain length and form is made and used but only experimental. Inside thread 14 fits the fitting end 3 and, thru exact molding procedures, the position of the hose end 13 is always firm and the same. Little non-slip edges 15 are on the outside provided and/ or a center hole 16 is molded or -a bottomhole 17 as preferred, the most hygienic plastic is used with the utmost strength accompanied with lightweight. Looking at FIG- URE 6 there is shown a thin, thin plastic bag 18. This bag can be set in and clamped 19 on the

1 and 2 and after usage, may be thrown away. This bag and also bag 10 are more for trips, outside etc. to be used with the original

1 and 2, but to hold the device clean and dry and neat.

Another throw away foldway sanitary device is shown in FIGURES 8, 9 and 10. While FIGURE 8 shows the device in molded and folded position 20 for packaging in nice looking little boxes, attractive for selling. FIG- URES 9 and 10 show the device folded open 21 and 22, ready to use and with or without opening 23. As understandable will they be thrown away in dispensers or garbage containers, the material used will be thin and hygienic and sanitary approved. Different sizes and forms are in development, and small foam cushions 24 are to be attached to the device, when needed.

It will be understood that modifications, within the scope of the appended claims, may be made in the design and arrangement, foam, bags, the dimensions and form of the device, hose, closure etc. without departing from the spirit of the invention.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States is:

1. A urine receptacle supportable in one hand including, a bottom portion,

walls projecting upward from said bottom portion,

a forward wall having an opening at the bottom of said forward wall to allow liquid to flow out of the receptacle,

a rim on the upper edge of said walls, said rim shaped to fit against the vaginal area of the body of a woman, said rim having rounded edges, said rim slopes downwardly from the forward wall,

an outflow member in said opening in said forward wall, said outflow means having external threads thereon, and

a cap with internal threads therein closing said Outflow member when the cap is screwed tightly on said outfiow member, said cap having an opening therein to allow liquid to flow out of the receptacle with the cap in a second position.

2. A urine receptable as set forth in claim 1, including 3 a disposable member shaped to fit into said urine receptacle and received therein.

3. A urine receptacle supportable in one hand includa bottom portion,

walls projecting upward from said bottom portion,

a rim on the upper edge of said walls, said rim shaped to vfit against the vaginal area of the body of a woman, said rim sloping sharply downwardly from the forward wall to an intermediate position betweer the forward and rear wall, said rim sloping downwardly from the intermediate position to the rear wall,

an outflow member in said opening in said forward wall, and

a cap closing said outflow member when placed in one position and having an opening therein to open said Outflow member in another position.

4. A urine receptacle as set forth in claim 3 including a disposable member shaped to fit into said urine receptacle and received therein.

5. A urine receptacle supportable in one hand includa bottom portion, walls projecting upward from said bottom portion, a forward wall having an opening at the bottom of said wall,

a cap closing said outflow member when placed in one position and having an opening therein to open said outflow member in. another position, and

a disposable member shaped to fit into said urine receptacle and received therein.
