IMPROVED CLOTHES-DRIER.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent N o. 34,637, dated March 11, 1862.
To all whom it may concern.:
Be it known that I, AMOs KROTZER, ot Woodville, Sandusky county, State of Ohio, have invented a new and Improved Frame for Drying Clothes and other Articles; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
The nature of my improvement consists in ive separate frames (d in the drawings) so arranged and connected by hinges at C that they may be expanded in a square truncated pyramidal form, as shown in Fig. 1, when Wanted for use, or folded into a compact form, as in Figfll, when not in use. Cords b b are attached to the other bars of the frames, and also to the inner bars or braces d d, in such a manner that When the frames are expanded and in position for use they Will be tightly strained horizontally in the best position for receiving clothes or other articles to be dried, as shown without touching each other, and also the contrivance by which frames may be folded into a compact form WhenA out of use.
