IMPROVEMENT IN NOZZLES FOR HOSE-PIPES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent N o. 33,504, dated October 15, 1861.
it leaves the nozzle is effectually avoided and a smooth solid stream produced.
To enable others skilled in the art to make and use my invention, I will proceed to described its construction and operation.
I construct a nozzle in the ordinary manner, as shown in Figure 1. Fig. 2 is a sectional .view longitudinal through the center.
C is the chamber formed by the projectionsf fon collar B. Fig. 3 is a top View of collar B, which is fitted to the chamber in the nozzle at D, and secured in its place by the adjustable cap A, Fig. 4.
Like letters refer to like parts in the several drawings.
I disclaim the movable ring B and the manner of adjusting the same, it having been used before.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The use and application ot' the water-chamber C, formed by the projections ff, for the use and purpose and in the manner substantially as set forth.
