The nature of my invention consists in the improved arrangement and construction of a clothes-frame, rendering it compact and securing the greatest facility in preparing it for use,` or disuse, and this economy ot' space and 4facility of using I attain by the arrangement of a semicircular hollow standard with a plain back A.
The upper part ot' the standard B may be made of cast-iron, Wood, or any other suitable material and so arranged that it affords support to ,the radiating bars or rods D and keeps thenpper ends in place when not in useV The lower part ot' the standard C contains the lower end of the bars or rods D when not in use, but it is not an essential part of the apparatus and may be dispensed with by conlining the lower ends of the bars or rods D with a strap or its equivalent, or they may be left free. The bars or rods D may be made of wood or any other suitable material, and each to be slotted throughout a greater part of its length. The semicircular wire E passes through said slots in the bars or rods D and should be firmly secured in the back of the standard A, and, it necessary, have abrace for the center of it. The back of the standard A should be firmly secured to the Wall of the house or other convenient place.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The construction and arrangement' of the standard A B, the bars or rods D, with or Without the Wire E, all substantially as shown by the drawing and set forth in this speciication,
