Claims (1)
1. A VANE-TYPE FLUID MACHINE, COMPRISING A STATIONARY CASING DEFINING A WORKING CHAMBER THEREIN, A CRANK SHAFT ROTATABLY MOUNTED IN SAID CASING, A CLOSURE MEMBER FREELY ROTATABLE ON SAID CRANK SHAFT AND SPACED INWARDLY FROM THE INTERIOR OF SAID CASING, THE SPACE BETWEEN SAID CASING AND SAID CLOSURE MEMBER DEFINING AN ANNULAR WORKING CHAMBER, SAID CASING HAVING SIDE WALLS EXTENDING RADIALLY INWARDLY ON EACH SIDE OF SAID CLOSURE MEMBER, A PLURALITY OF SLOTS DEFINED AT SPACED PERIPHERAWL LOCATIONS ON THE INTERIOR OF SAID CASING AND EXTENDING INTO SAID SIDE WALLS BEYOND THE SIDE EDGES OF SAID CLOSURE MEMBER, VANES SLIDABLY MOVABLE IN SAID SLOTS AND EXTENDING BEYOND EACH SIDE OF SAID CLOSURE MEMBER INTO SAID SIDE WALLS AND BEING GUIDED ON WALLS OF SAID SLOTS IN SAID SIDE WALLS, EACH VANE HAVING AN END IN SLIDING ENGAGEMENT WITH THE PERIPHERY OF SAID CLOSURE MEMBER AND DIVIDING SAID WORKING CHAMBER INTO A PLURALITY OF INTER-VANE SPACES, AND INLET AND OUTLET CONDUIT MEANS COMMUNICATING WITH SAID WORKING CHAMBER, SAID VANE SPACES INCREASING AND DECREASING IN VOLUME IN SAID WORKING CHAMBER PERIODICALLY AROUND THE PERIPHERY OF SAID CLOSURE MEMBER AND THEREBY INTAKING AN EXPELLING FLUID WHEN THE CRANK SHAFT REVOLVES, SAID VANES BEING MOVABLE INTO AND OUT OF SAID SLOTS, SAID SLOTS DEFINING INTER SLOT CHAMBER ON THE SIDES OF SAID VANES, SAID INLET AND OUTLET CONDUIT MEANS INCLUDING A SEPARATE INLET AND OUTLET FOR EACH OF SAID INTER SLOT CHAMBERS.
