In the drawings, forming a part hereof, Figure I is an exterior side view of the invention. Fig. II is a front Viewr of the saine. Fig. III is a plan of Fig. I. Fig.v IV is a detail of the invention.
A is a basket, preferably formed with Wire- Work sides and a Wooden bottom, as shown.
This basket is fastened to the stationary aXle a, and is provided with a handle, b. The main wheels are denoted by B B, and they turn loosely on the axle a.
C is a pilot-Wheel supported from the bottom of the basket A. This pilot-Wheel also serves to prevent the basket tilting forward, and its backward tilting is prevented by means of a post, D, which is adapted to be elevated and depressed, as may be required, in a sleeve, I
E, secured to the rear ofthe basket. The post has a handle, c, and a pin, d, which traverses a slot, e, in the sleeve E. When the post is lowered, it may be turned by means of the handle c to bring the pin d into a branch slot, f, and the post is then locked.
When the parcel-carrier is in use, the post is raised and held by the handle c, being moved over the basket-edge. l
A second branch slot can be employed at the upper end of the slot e, if desired.
