My invention. has l'or its object to enable incandescent electric-lamp holders t'o be made of an insulating material capable of lbeing molded orcast-sucli as glass-thc inetal littings being so formed at the parts which are to be inclosed in the glass or the like that they will be secured in the glass or other insulating material by the process ot' moldingr or casting.

I will describe, with reierence to the aceoinpanyingdrawings` a inannei in which the invention may -be carried into cffelct. The-part to be secured to the bulb is shown at lii'g.y 1, in plan and transverse sections, at 'right angles to each other, and consists of a bodypart, A, of glass or other insulating material, capable oi' being molded or cast. The fittings d d and c are provided at the parts where they are surrounded by the glass or the like with proiectious or grooves, by 6o which they are held Iirnily in position.

The parts A and() may be securedtogether, and the bulb eonsequentl y be secured in place, by a collar piece, F. slid or spi-innig upon the part C, and prevented l'roin turning by a. 6,-, recess or recesses in the collar F taking over a projection or over projections at the side of the piece C, to keep the parts in the proper relative position, the part A being` secured by the knobs a thereon engaging in bayonel'.- 7o joint groovesfin the collar F. What l claini as my invention is-- 1. ln a holder for incandescent electric lamps having a socket of glass or similar in- 9o sulating inoldable or east-able material with metal fittings or contact-phites embedded directly therein, and having projections extending into the mass ot' the glass or other insulating material, substantially :is dcseributfl.

2. A holder for incandescent', clcci ric lamps, comprising a part ot' glass or like. molt'lablc or castable insulating material.l having split screws partly embedded therein, -lhe ina-in wires being held in said screws by scrtiwdinls, roo substantially as described.
