Like letters refer to like parts in each view.
A represents the seat or body ofthe sleigh, and B the uprights connecting the same with the runners C, said runners being curved at their front ends and adapted to be connected with the front end of the seat, as is customary.
D represents my improved brace, formed of any suitable material and provided with arms a a and b b. Arms a are preferably enlarged at their outer ends, as shown at c, and through such enlargements suitable bolts may be passed to secure the brace to the runner, as shown in Fig. 2.
Arms b of brace D are so bent with respect to said brace that their outer ends, when the brace is secured to the runners, as above described, will occupy a position between the inner curved ends of said runners and the seat A, as is also clearly shown in Fig. 2. Suitable bolts, d, are passed through the seat, the arms I), and the ends of the runners, and the parts thereby held securely in place.
By the use ofthe brace constructed and arranged as described great srength is added to the sleigh at its front end.
At or about the center of brace D there may be provided the representation ci' an animals head, (marked E in the drawings.)
As shown in the drawings, there is a ring, F, inserted into the mouth of the figure, and connected with such ringA is the rope G for drawing the sleigh.
Vhat I claim is l. rlhe combination, with sleigh A and runners C, of brace D, as and for the purpose set forth.
2. The combination, with sleighAand runners C, of'brace D, provided with arms c b, as and for the purpose set forth.
