i ATENT CONDITION-POWDER.
SPECIFICATION forrning part of Letters Patent No. 298,433, dated May 13, 1884.
Application filed January 25, 1884.
safe and effectual treatment for the diseases named.
The invention consists in the following ingredients combined in about the proportions specified: pulverized fenugreek, two ounces; pulverized nitrate of potassium, two ounces; pulverized elecampane, two ounces; pulverized sulphate of iron, two ounces; pulverized gentian, two ounces; pulverized gum-acacia, one ounce. The above ingredients are thoroughly mixed and given in the form of apowder, a table-spoonful of which constitutes a dose.
Before giving the above-described powder, eighty drops of tincture of aconite are given, thirty drops each hour. A dose of the powder is then given, and the aconite continued for two more hours, or two doses of thirty (No specimens.)
drops each. The powder is then given, a table-spoonful every four hours, until cured, the aconite being discontinued after four doses of thirty drops each have been given.
By the use of the above-described powder a 35 ready and effective remedy is found for fever or inflammation of the lungs.
We are aware that condition-powders containing fenugreek, niter, and gentian, and also others containing fenugreek, gentian, and elecampane, with other ingredients, are not new; but,

The herein-described compound, consisting of pulverized fenugreek, pulverized nitrate of potassium, pulverized elecampane, pulverized sulphate of iron, pulverized gentian, and pulverized gunracacia, in about the proportions specified.
