Referring more particularly to the drawings, the fixture will be seen to comprise a box'having a rectangular front panel 1 and asimilar rear panel 2. The front panel 1 is provided with'side flanges 3 and4 and a top flange `5, and the rear panel 2 is likewise provided with side tlanges 6 and 7 and a top ange 8. The side anges 3 -and 6 are coplanar as are the side flanges 4 and 7. Th top flanges 5 and 8 are also coplanar. Y

In order to permit access to the junction box 30, for

inspection vor repair purposes,V without requiring removal of the fixture from the recess in the ceiling, means have been provided for permitting easy removal of the reflec- 1 tors 18 and 24 from the recess box. , When access to the junction box is desired, the lighty bulb (not shown) is rst removed from the socket 26, after which the head 17 of the screw 16 is turned to release it from clamping engagement with the reflector v24. The reflectors 24 'and 18 are then moved in a downward direction, as viewed in Figs. 4, 6 andl, sufficient.l`

It is thus seen that I have provided "a recessed wlighting fixture which admirably fulfils .al-lof the' stated objects of the invention, and which is of economical construction.

It is to be understood Ithat the form of my invention, herewith shown andvdescribed, is` to-be takenasa preferred example of the same, and that various changes may be made in the shape, size and arrangement of lparts of my invention, -withon't departing V`from tlfle'spirit of the invention or the scope of the-sbjoined claims.

1. A lighting xture of the wall-recessed' type, cornprising a box-like structure having front andi'rear panels,

and side panels extending vertically upward from a horizontal lplane defined by thelower edges of the front and rear panels and of substantially less height than the front and rear panels, whereby to provide large openings above the side panels, a junction box supported by one of said side panels, in substantially spaced relation to said panel, a reflector mounted in said structure, and having sloping side walls which normally block access to said openings, said reilector being removable from said structure, whereby access to said junction box mayV be had through one of 'said openings,-andl means forsupporting said reflector, said means comprising a bar interconnecting said front and rear panels, a screw secured to said bar and having'an enlarged head, and an opening in said reflector having an. Venlarged portion larger than said head and a slot extending radially frornsaid enlarged portion, said slot being of a Width substantially the same as the diameter of thestem of saidscrew. Y
