STRAW-STACKER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 291,674, dated January 8, 1884.
Application filed April 13, 1883. (N model.)
To all whom it may concern/.-
Be it known that we, E. F. BROWN and S. M. MILLER, of Nebraska, Pickaway county, Ohio, haveinvented an Improvementin Straw-Stackers, of which the following is a specification.
The invention 'will first be described in connection with the drawings,and then pointed out in the claim.
Figure 1 of the drawings is a side elevation,
and Fig. 2 a cross-section, of that portion of a stacker to which our invention is applied. I
(t represents the bed-fran1e of the stacker; 0, a circular way or track; h, aturn-table having rim f and flanges g, which work 011 said track;
I 5 i. rollers which are mounted on the brackets l j, are geared, and hold the table to the track. This turn-table h carries the shaft 'm in bear ings n, and on this shaft are mounted the arms 0 of the lower section of the stacker-frame, by
means of .V-shaped supports 10, with the bearings g. g The shaft m carries a fast pinion, s, which i gears with a master-wheel, t, on a shaft, a, arranged in the axis of the turn-table, and this latter shaft carries the fast sprocket-wheel 22, which may be connected with suitable mechanism to drive the-stacker from the thrasher.
The shaft m also carries a chainwheel, z, from which the lower roller, a, of the endless carrier b of the stacker is to be driven by a chain, c.
Having thus described all that is necessary to a full understanding of our invention, what we claim as new and of our invention is The combination of the turntable 71, having rim f, with flanges land 9 g, the brackets j, the cross-beam k, and the rollers 13, substantially as shown and described.
