The nature of my invention consists in providing jointed elbow shaped, reversible, extension brackets, for the support of platforms for workmens scaffolding, on two or more ordinary ladders.
To enable others skilled in the art to makeand use my invention, I will proceed to describe their construction and operation.
I construct brackets of wood or iron or of both securely bound together, either endders or the different space of rounds and also allows the brackets to be reversed as shown in Figs. 1 and 2 by passing the end of the long arm through the slots D, D, in the short arm. The advantages of said brackets being the perfect security in the erection of scaffolding for the use of house builders and painters, or in any place Where it may be necessary or desirable to erect scaffoldin' of any kind and the facility with whic the staging may be placed in a perfectly horizontal position on the out side of the ladders, where a considerable elevation is required as shown in Fig. 1, or in hanging staging on the under side of the ladders, where a lower elevation is sought as shown in Fig. 2, but for the better understanding of which reference is hereby made to the model herewith submitted in which the whole use and method of my invention is fully demonstrated.
What I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent is Elbow-jointed, reversible extension brackets, for sustaining staging of scaffolding on two or more ordinary ladders, as set forth in the above specification.
