My invention relates generally to game carriers and has for its primary object the provision of a highly efiicient and inexpensive game carrier which may be formed with a minimum of effort from a single length of multiplestrand twisted rope.

A further object of my invention is the provision of a device of the class immediately above described, the strands of which are formed from nylon or other moisture resisting fiber so that the operation of the device is not affected by changes in the weather, submersion in water and the like.

A further object of my invention is the provision of a device of the class immediately above described which is capable of carrying a quantity of game birds ranging from quail to geese when suspended therein either by the neck or by the legs, which is extremely light in weight, and which is highly efficient in use, and durable.

A still further object of my invention is the provision of a device of the class above described which is extremely easy to adjust even with gloved hands and which is foolproof.

A further object of my invention is the provision of a device of the character described which may be wadded up and carried in even a small pocket, which is adapted for hand or shoulder carrying, or which may be utilized as a belt carrier if desired.

The above and still further objects of my invention will become apparent from the following detailed specification, appended claims and attached drawings.

Referring to the drawings wherein like characters indicate like parts throughout the several views:

Fig. 2 is an enlarged fragmentary view in side elevation showing the method of forming the friction sleeves of my novel game carrier.

Referring with greater particularity to the drawings, the numeral 1 indicates in its entirety a single length of twisted nylon rope, preferably and as shown, comprising three strands 1a, 1b and 10. At longitudinally spaced points, each of the strands 1a, 1b, 1c is reversely twisted to provide sleeve-forming groups 2 and 3 of closely spaced cooperating loops 4 and 5 respectively. If will be noted that the axes of each of the sleeve-forming groups 2 and 3 of loops 4 and 5 respectively are aligned and that each of said axes is laterally spaced from but generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rope 1.

As shown particularly in Fig. 1, the opposite ends of the rope I are backturned upon themselves and frictionally slidably received one each within an adjacent one of said sleeveforming groups 2 and 3, and thereafter said free ends are knotted as at 6 to provide stop elements. Preferably the knots 6 are treated with a moisture resistant adhesive to maintain the permanency thereof. In this manner, spaced game receiving snares 7 are provided, the intermediate portion of the rope 1 between the snares 7 providing a carrying handle 8 which may be engaged by the hand of the hunter or may be hung over the shoulder, or also of equal importance, may be wrapped once about the belt of the hunter.

While, as above indicated, my novel game carrier may be formed from any multiple-strand twisted rope it is preferable that same be formed from twisted rope including at least three strands so as to form sleeves 2, 3, of sufficient longitudinal dimension to retain the backturned ends 6 of rope 1 in substantially parallel relationship to the immediately adjacent portion of the rope 1. Furthermore, the sleeves 2, 3, comprising at least three loops 4, 5, have been found to exert about the desired amount of frictional engagement upon the free ends 6 of the rope I received therein.

My invention has been thoroughly tested and found to be completely satisfactory for the accomplishment of the above objects and while I have shown a preferred embodiment thereof, I wish it to be understood that same is capable of modification without departure from the scope and spirit of the appended claims.

What I claim is:

1. A game carrier formed from a single length of multiple-strand twisted rope the opposite ends of which are bound to prevent unraveling, each of said strands being reversely twisted at longitudinally spaced points equally spaced from the ends of the rope to provide spaced groups of closely spaced cooperating loops having aligned axes and of a diameter substantially equal to that of the rope, the loops being laterally spaced from but generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of said rope, each of said cooperating groups of loops defining elongated sleeves, each sleeve frictionally slidably receiving a backturned opposite free end of said rope and cooperating respectively therewith to define spaced adjustable game receiving snares one at each end of said rope, the intermediate portion of said rope between said snares providing a carrying handle.

2. The structure defined in claim 1 in which said rope is formed from three twisted strands whereby each of said snares includes a group of three cooperating loops.
