SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 288,645, dated November 20, 1883.

5 ana, have invented a new and useful Improve ment in Clothes-Racks, of which the following is a specification. I

My invention relates 'to improvements in clothes-racks; and the objectsof my improvements are to construct a cheap and convenient adjustable rackfor drying clothes, I attain these obj ects by themechanism illustrated by the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a perspective View of my inven- Fig. 2 is an end View, showing the racks adjusted in different positions; andFig. 3 is a View showing the rack folded up ready for shipping.

The inner ends of the arms bare rounded off, a so that they will fit in the notches d, as shown. The said arms are also providedwith a hook and eye, 8 s, so that the rack maybe held together when folded up, as shown in Fig. 3; or the said hooks s 8 may be left off, if desired. As thus constructed, the racks b'e maybe adjusted in various positions, and the articles to be dried are placed on the rounds e c.
