4 Claims. (Cl. 150-35) This invention relates to a combined purse and billfold.

It is the principal object of the present invention to provide a combined purse and billfold wherein two purse pockets are provided on the opposite sides of the billfold opening and separable from one another to provide access to the bills through the purse opening.

It is another object of the invention to provide a combined purse and billfold wherein the purse pockets are integrally formed from the inner lining of the billfold pocket, the purse pocket for the one side of the billfold pocket and the lining being made from a single piece of leather lining material folded from the ends and from the sides and attached to the outer billfold parts and wherein a duplicate construction is had to the other side of the billfold.

It is still another object of the present invention to provide a combined purse and billfold wherein two purse pockets are provided and the closing of the billfold pocket at its rear side is joined by a simple clip means connected between the inner sides of the pocket without requiring stitching or interfering with the opening of the purse pocket and allowing thereby maximum expansion of the purse pockets and of the space between them without losing control of the opening of the purse and so that the ends of the bills within the purse pocket are readily and adequately exposed and so that easy access can be had to them.

Other objects of the invention are to provide a combined purse and billfold that have the above objects in mind, which is of simple construction, has a minimum number of parts, easy to assemble, inexpensive to manufacture, easy to use, of pleasing appearance, compact, durable, can be constructed without frames if desired, and will stand long wear, and efficient in use.

For a better understanding of the invention, reference may be had to the following detailed description taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, in which Figure l. is a perspective view of the combined purse and hillfold constructed according to one form of the invention, and including frames about the purse opening,

Referring now particularly to Figs. 1 to 4, 15 represents an outer leather piece that forms the exterior of the combined purse and billfold and 16 represents a taffeta or cloth inner piece which taken with the outer piece forms the supporting structure of the combined purse and billfold. Secured to the inner face of the taffeta piece 16 at the opposite ends thereof are

17 and 18 having openings respectively at 17 and 18' to allow for the insertion thereinto of cards.

On the inner side of the outer piece, there is secured a combined inner leather lining 19 and a :foldable pocket 20 integrally formed therefrom and made from a blank piece 19 shown in Figs. 9 and 10. This blank piece has a lower portion 22 that runs one half the length of the billfold, a double length central portion 23, with

26 and 22 and the double length central portion are covered with a reinforcing cloth fabric 28 to provide stiffening for the thin leather material from which the lining and the pocket is made. 26 and 22 as indicated respectively at 29, 3d and 31, 32. When the wing portions have been secured to one another the blank piece 19 is placed over the inner face of the leather outerpiece 15 and is secured thereto by a stitching 33 that runs along an inwardly turned hem 15.

What is claimed is:

1.
