Still a further object of the invention is to provide means protecting the closure elements on the collapsible rigid-walled container against damage and displacement.
Another object of the invention is to provide means facilitating filling of an envelope or pouch which extends into a container, to thereby simultaneously prop the walls of the latter, and to also define or limit the extent of filling said envelope, the mouth of which may be sealed against back-pressure caused by liquid or other substance with which the envelope is filled.
Still a further object of the invention resides in the provision of means enabling safe transportation of any liquid or pulverulent substances in a sturdy and collapsible metal container.
These and other objects of the invention will become further apparent from the following detailed description, reference being made to the accompanying drawing, showing a preferred embodiment of the invention.

Fig. 1 illustrates schematically a top wall forming part of a container disclosed more specifically in my U. S. Patent No. 2,696,929 dated December 14, 1954.
Fig. 2 is an enlarged sectional view of the central portion of the closure of said top wall seen in Fig. 1.
Fig. 3 is a plan view of the closure disposed on the top wall seen in Fig. 1.
Referring now more particularly to the drawing, there is shown in Fig. 1 a top wall d provided with an opening a. This top wall d is convex for allowing escape of air from within the container (not shown) through opening a therewithout.
A metal strip or other reinforcement piece 1' is welded onto top wall d and around opening a. Extending from within the container through opening a is a pouch q (only partly shown) which is provided with a collar rim or flange b which is positioned on top of reinforcing plate or strip r. As seen in Fig. 2, screwthreaded bolt h extends through the container wall to be supported thereby and instead of a wing nut it other manipulating means, such as a knurled wheel, may be employed to operate the lid n relative to the guide means 0 defining the effective aperture or opening a. The cover In may also be carried out in any other suitable manner to thereby protect the vital parts of the closure device, as pointed out.
It is further to be noted that the inflatable pouch or envelope q may be made from any suitable plastic or rubber like material, such as polyethylene and the like.
This application is a division of my copending application Serial No. 206,351, filed in the U. S. Patent Oflice on January 17, 1951, now matured into U. S. Patent No. 2,696,929.
It can now be seen that there has been provided in accordance with the invention a combination container and pouch with closure means for the filling aperture provided in said container and through which said inflatable pouch or envelope extends, guide means being arranged to at least partly overlie said aperture for facilitating supply of a substance through said container aperture into said pouch. Said guide means terminates in a flange positioned for contact with the container wall above said aperture and a lid provided with screwthreaded means for actuating said lid closes said container aperture and thereby engages said flange of said guide means, said screw-threaded means being mounted on said container wall and extending toward and beyond said lid.
Various changes and modifications may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present;

Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new and desired to be secured by Letters Patent, is:
. 1. In a container, a wall provided with an aperture, a pouch for placement in said container and connectable to the container wall adjacent said aperture, said pouch having a reduced mouth portion which extends through said container wall aperture to overlie said Wall exteriorly thereof and adjacent the container aperture, a filling sleeve passing from without said container through said pouch mouth portion into said pouch, said sleeve having an inlet opening and being provided with an outwardly bent flange defining said inlet opening and for position with said flange above said mouth portion and said wall, a lid hingedly mounted upon said container wall and provided with gasket means to close the inlet opening of said sleeve and to seal through the latter said mouth portion of said pouch, and means on said container wall and connectable to said lid to press said gasket means and said mouth portion together with said sleeve flange sandwiched therebetween.
2. A closure for a container having a top wall with an opening for the insertion therethrough and securement thereto of a substantially flexible pouch having a mouth portion of reduced diameter comprising a sleeve member provided with an outwardly turned flange, said mouth portion of said pouch being provided with an outwardly turned end portion positioned exteriorly on said top wall, so that the flange of said sleeve member overlies said outwardly turned end portion of said pouch when said sleeve member is inserted through said opening into said pouch, a first lid swingably mounted on said top wall and provided with sealing means at the underface of said first lid for abutment against said flange of said sleeve member, means fixed to said top wall for urging said first lid through the intermediary of said sealing means to tightly close said opening of said top wall and to simultaneously secure said end portion of said reduced mouth portion in position at said opening, and a second lid hingedly mounted on said top wall and extending to enclose said first lid in closed position of the latter, and means securing said second lid in position on said top wall to prevent access to said first lid and to protect the latter against damage during transportation of said container.
3. A closure for a container having a top wall with an opening for the insertion therethrough and securement thereto of a substantially flexible pouch having a mouth portion with reduced diameter comprising a sleeve member for insertion into said mouth portion and pro- Vided with an outwardly turned flange, said mouth portion of said pouch being provided with anoutwardly turned end portion positioned exteriorly on said top wall, the flange of said sleeve member in applied condition of said pouch to said container overlying said top wall with said outwardly turned end portion of said pouch sandwiched therebetween, a first lid swingably mounted on said top wall and provided at its underface with sealing means for abutment against said flange of said sleeve member to thereby press said end portion of said pouch against said top wall, first means fixed to said top wall for urging said first lid through the intermediary of said sealing means to tightly close said opening of said top wall and to secure said reduced mouth portion in position with respect to said container opening, and a second lid hingedly mounted on said top wall and completely covering said first lid when in closed position, and second means arranged opposite said first means on said top wall for securing said second lid in position over said first lid and said first means to prevent access to same and also to protect the latter against damage during transportation of said container.
