tising-Windmill; and we do hereby'declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, making a part of this specification.
The object of our invention is to attract the particular attention of all persons upon a street.
or sidewalk in a town or city to the business carried on by the proprietor of a store, factory, or office. This we accomplish by constructing a machine which is operated by wind or other power, and having upon it a variety of objects likely to interest the passers by-namely, the four points of compass, as usually indicated by the letters N., E.,W., 3., an arrow or some other suitable index showing the direction from which the wind is blowing, the name of the firm or dealer, and the moving figure representing the article'manufactured or sold, the whole being painted red, white, and blue, or some other gay and lively colors, and thus be quite sure to impress upon the mind of the observer the special class of goods advertised and the place where the same can be purchased, all of which will herein be fully explained and described.
