In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 represents our cup in place on the interior of the cap and within the canister, the latter being shown in section. Fig. 2 shows the cap and the cup detached. Figs. 3 and 4 represent modifications of the cup-iiange.
A may represent the body, and B the customary screw-threaded neck, of a canister or lunch-bucket, and O a customary or any suitable screw-threaded cap therefor.
D is a cup which has projecting exteriorly from its mouth and in the plane of the same an annular flange or brim, d, whose diameter is intermediate between the diameters of the elevated and depressed portions of the interior of the cap-screw, so as to enable the said cup to be engaged by its said Iianged portion within the screw-thread of said cap, as indicated in Fig. 1. Inferior modifications of cup-ange are shown in Figs. 3 and 4.
The cup I) d may be stamped or pressed or spun out of sheet metal, or may be molded in glass, porcelain, or earthenware, or may be east in zinc, iron, or other metal and suitably enameled.
We claim as a new and useful article of manufacture- The combination, with a screw-necked canister or bucket, yA B C, ot' cup D, having a marginal iiange or brim, d, Whose diameter is intermediate between the diameters of the elevations and depressions of the interior-of the JOHN S.
