3 Claims. (Cl. 128-158) This invention relates to supports and is more particularly directed to suspensories for male individuals.

The principal object of the present invention is to provide a suspensory for men which maintains the male organ in its normal position, and which is cool, sanitary, comfortable to wear and at the same time is both efficient and healthful in its use; and it consists in certain improvements in the details of construction and arrangement of parts whereby these objects and other objects are accomplished, all as will be hereinafter more fully described and claimed.

Referring now to the drawings wherein similar refer ence numerals designate like parts throughout, the numeral refers to a cup shaped sack made of an upper and lower layer of cloth 11 and 12 respectively, or of any other suitable fabric material, sewn together along their edge portions to form a pocket 13 therebetween. Access to the pocket 13 is obtained by means of a zipper closure 14 affixed to the upper layer of cloth 11 at the rear portion of the sack 10. Within the pocket 13 there is placed a sponge rubber padding 15, though padding of any other type material may be utilized. At the forward portion of the sack 10 there is secured a tubular portion 16 adapted to receive therethrough the male organ and thereby support same in its normal position.

The supporting means for affixing the device 10 securedly to an individuals person consists of a plurality of elastic bands or straps. On each side of the sack 10 there extends an elastic band 17, which is secured at one end to the tubular portion 16. A short strip of elastic band 18 mounted above the tubular portion 16 has its end portions connected to the straps 17 to form a yoke thereby.

The free ends of the straps 17 are provided with hooks 19 which are received by the buckles 20 secured to the free ends of each of the elastic straps 21. The other end of each of the straps 21 are secured to either side of the sack 10 at the rear portion thereof whereby upon the engagement of each of the hooks 19 with the buckles 20 a loop is formed on either side of the sack 10 for engaging a persons thighs (see Figure 3). A further elastic strap 22 of sufiicient length to form a relatively large loop extends along the bottom portion of the sack 10, the strap 22 being secured to the lower layer of cloth 12, with the end portions of the strap 22 being provided with a hook 23 and a tape 24 containing eyelets for receiving the hook 23. It is to be noted that any 2,700,971 Patented! Feb. 1, 1955 of the well known types of adjustable buckles or clasps may be utilized in place of those shown.

In the use of the device as a suspensory, the sack 10 receives and supports a persons scrotum, while the tubular portion 16 receives the male organ which extends therethrough. The

17 and 21 encircle each of the persons thighs and are connected together by the hook 19 and buckle 20, while the elastic strap 22 extends forwardly of the sack 10 from between the persons thighs, and then extends across the persons back where the hook 23 is received by one of the eyelets 0f the tape 24. As best shown by Figure 3 of the drawings, it is readily seen that the device of the present invention supports and maintains the male organ and the scrotum in its normal position, which condition is most healthful and comfortable to the user thereof.

Having now disclosed my invention, and realizing that, in view of my disclosure many modifications in details of construction or design will readily occur to those skilled in the art, I do not choose to limit myself except as in the appended claims.

What I claim is:

l. A suspensory comprising a sack, a tubular portion mounted at one end of said sack, loop forming straps mounted on each side of said sack, said straps having one end secured to said tubular portion and the other end secured to the other end of said sack, a flexible yoke mounted above said tubular portion and having its end portions secured to said loop forming straps, and a further loop forming strap secured along the bottom portion of said sack and extending upwardly and in a direction away from said one end of said sack.

2. A suspensory constituted as set forth in claim 1 wherein said sack comprises an upper and lower layer of cloth secured at their edge portions to form a pocket therebetween, a padding contained in said pocket and closure means secured to one of said layers of cloth for gaining access to said pocket.

3. A cup-shaped suspensory comprising an upper layer of cloth, a lower layer of cloth, means securing said upper and lower layers of cloth at their edge portions to form a pocket therebetween, zipper closure means secured to said upper layer of cloth at one end of said suspensory, a sponge rubber padding contained in said pocket, a tubular member mounted at: said other end of said suspensory, a pair of elastic straps secured to said tubular member, each of said elastic straps extending along each side of said suspensory, further elastic straps secured at said one end of said upper layer of cloth and extending along each side thereof, connecting means mounted on the free ends of said further elastic straps for removably connecting said straps to form loops on each side of said suspensory, an elastic yoke mounted above said tubular member and having its end portions secured to said first named elastic straps, and a still further elastic strap secured to the lower layer of cloth and extending to each side of said suspensory, and connecting means mounted on the free ends of said last named elastic strap to form a loop thereby.
