TURNING ATTACHMENT FOR TILES Filed July 20, 1953 1N VEN TOR.
My al I ATTORNEYS.
United States Patent 2,699,336 TURNING ATTACHMENT FOR TILES Melville Keim, Highland Park, Ill. Application July 20, 1953, Serial No. 369,090 Claims. (Cl. 273-136) tration, but not of limitation, embodiments are shown in the accompanying drawing in which:
Figure 1 is a schematic elevational view of an attachment embodying features of this invention;
Figure 2 is a perspective view of the attachment shown in Figure 1 in position of use with the playing board;
igure 3 is a sectional elevational view of the attachment in position of use on the playing board prior to positioning for reversal of tiles;
igure 4 is a sectional view corresponding to that of Figure 3 but with the elements tilted to a desired angle for tile reversal;
Figure 5 is a mounted relation.
Interconnecting the plates spaced relation is a deflector strip of sheet metal, plastics tached to the rearward edge and 11 in the desired wall 14 in the form of a or the like preferably atportion of the plates for control turning movement for laying the tiles gently on the face down for the start of a new game, an edge of the board and over the lower edge. more than one-half of the tile extends beyond the desired flip-over.
For best results, it is expedient to move t will be evident that the turning attachment described is adaptable for use with other operable surfaces to effect face thereof and that an attachment of the type described can provide a game in itself because of its turning action in use.
It will be understood that changes may be made in the details of construction, arrangement and operation and in the materials cially as defined in the following claims.
I claim:
dimension of the top of the elements on the surface of the board, said deflector wall having a lower edge portion of curvilinear shape which is disposed substantially horizontally when the board is tilted to displace the elements downwardly over the surface thereof towards the attachment.
2. An attachment as claimed in claim 1 in which the support is formed with a curvilinear rear wall upon which the support is rocked between tilted and horizontal positions.
3. An attachment as claimed in claim 1 in which the deflector wall is curvilinear from the bottom edge to the top.
4. An attachment as claimed in claim 1 in which the 5 adjacent the forward e l in which a dge and beneath the slots.
